Growing together

Il Progetto “Growing Together” prevede l’esecuzione di un programma di formazione in favore degli insegnanti che lavorano nelle scuole dell’infanzia del villaggio diNgugo-Ikeduru, con l’intento di migliorare le loro competenze e metodologia didattica per incoraggiare nei loro allievi l’avvio di un processo di cambiamento positivo.

Timing: 

The project has a duration of 12 months and is implemented through 4 periodic interventions lasting 15 days each.

Beneficiaries of the Project:

The beneficiaries of the project are children attending kindergartens and their teachers. Indirectly, the children's families and the institutions where the teachers work will also benefit from the project.

Objectives:  

The overall aim of the project is to promote healthy development and optimal growth in the children of the village. Specifically, it is intended to stimulate the reducing of individual difficulties and the development of new skills in children. The project is aimed at determining the formation of a more competent and fulfilling teaching class.

Programme:

The programme provides for the training of teachers in the psycho-educational sector and in the performance of specific psychosocial activities. To support the application of these skills, teachers will be periodically supported in their activities by the psychologist trainer.settore psicoeducativoe nello svolgimento di specifiche attività psicosociali. Per sostenere l’applicazione di tali abilità, gli insegnanti saranno periodicamente affiancati nelle attività dallo psicologo formatore.

Methodology:

E’ stato identificato come riferimento nell’attività formativa laPlayTherapy non-direttiva. Il repertorio di attività psicosociali incluse nel Progetto sono estratte in buona parte dal documento di “programmazione triennale” realizzato dall’Istituto Comprensivo Mario Pagano.

Activity:

Included in the activities planned:

• Classroom training in Non-Directive Play Therapy, Developmental Psychology and Psychosocial Activities.

• Shared group activities.

• Activity monitoring.

Human resources:

N° 1 expatriate psychologist trainer;

N° 1 expatriate logistic-administrative coordinator,

N° 1 local coordinator.

Realization of the project by S.O.Solidarietà and Associazione per la Play Terapia Italia -Psycho Social Projects.

In May 2017 the project started again for a further 2 years.
